Your home is the centre of your life and one of your biggest investments. Property insurance protects you from both major and minor risks — from fire and natural disasters to pipe leaks and property damage.

Our local, experienced team takes the time to understand your unique needs and helps you find coverage that safeguards your property, giving you peace of mind for the unexpected.

Property Insurance Coverage Options

What’s Included in Home Insurance?

Provided is a breakdown of the standard coverages included in property and tenant insurance in Ontario.

Each policy is unique, so be sure to contact us to understand your coverage and ensure you’re properly protected, no matter where you live.

  • Covers situations where you could be held legally responsible for bodily injury or property damage. This coverage can also help with any legal costs you may endure.

  • Protect your belongings and contents in your home, including everything from your furniture to clothes and electronics. This is also known as contents insurance.

  • If you cannot live in your home while it’s being repaired from a covered event, this coverage will cover your living expenses, including accommodations, meals, and other related expenses.

  • Some insurance partners provide additional coverage for added protection for rental renovations/improvements, identity theft, service line protection, sewer backup and overland water protection.

Condo Insurance

A master condo policy typically protects only the shell of your unit, leaving your personal belongings and interior finishes at risk. Your condo association’s insurance policy likely covers common areas and shared spaces but may not protect your unit’s improvements, fixtures, or personal possessions.

Condo insurance fills that gap — combining elements of landlord and tenant coverage to protect what’s uniquely yours. It also covers damage caused by theft, fire, severe wind, lightning strikes, and frozen pipes. However, it generally does not include flooding, so additional coverage may be needed.

We’ll help you understand your bylaws and ensure you have the coverage you need to protect your home and belongings.
